Be in demand

Just Ask.

Just Ask.

With the holidays just around the corner, many of us are asking our children to dream of toys, books, and games they would like to have, then write a list and send it to that jolly old elf at the North Pole.

As we get older that tradition fades. So this year, whether you write out a list or simply think about the things you want, take it one step further by asking for what you want. Be clear, be focused, be deliberate and ask for what you want.

[Tweet “Be clear, be focused, be deliberate. Ask for what you want. #career”]

Ask for the sale.

Ask for help.

Ask for the job.

Ask for a raise.

Ask for a promotion.

Ask ‘why not me?’

Ask for time off.

Ask him/her out.

Ask the waiter.

Ask your mom.

Ask your boss.

Ask yourself.

Just ask.

It is amazing what can happen when you find the courage to ask. It seems obvious, doesn’t it…? Yet you might be surprised how many times we let fear, or worse, an assumption of the answer, prevent us from asking an important question that could lead to our “…happily ever after.”

What’s keeping you from asking for what you want? If you need help defining what you want from your career. We can help.
